One day while Khaz iswandering he sees a beautiful female. He watches her for a few days, keeping his distance. After a while he approches her and finds out her name is Akela. Khaz had been alone for the past year, so he is happy for er company. But after a while a strange feeling grows inside him. Having never felt love before, Khaz doesn't know he's falling for her. Akela begins to fall for him too. After a few more days pass he tells her how he feels, and she admits she feels the same about him. A few more days pass, and they mate. Akela becomes pregnant, but she's afraid to tell Khaz.
