If she could've blushed at his glance, she would have. "What? Are you devising your plan to kill me?" She teased, giggling. The last time she'd laughed, or even smiled, this much had been only a few days before her banishment. Frey shook her head, clearing her thoughts, and looked back at Rubix. The blood coming from her paws still flowed rather freely, but it would stop soon.

[.::. Nemesis .::.]

Rubix rolled his eyes, but smiled wider. "Yes, that's exactly what I'm doing," he said sarcastically. Then he thought, I wonder.. How would you feel if I said I might love you? Then he sighed and shook it off, thinking to himself, Remember what happened to the last wolf you loved? She wouldn't go near you if she knew. He put on a small, slightly forced smile.

[Natika]

"Something wrong?" Frey tilted her head, watching him. "You seem... Deep in thought," she chuckled quietly. Shaking her fur, she lay on the ground again, looking up at Rubix. I guess it's too late, now that I have feelings for this wolf.

[.::. Nemesis .::.]

Rubix looked at her and sighed. "Well... I wonder, do you believe in love at first sight?" He looked at his paws after that. He didn't even think he needed to say the rest, Not that he wanted to. She won't feel the same way, just forget it Rubix...

[Natika]

Sitting up slowly, she avoided his eyes and looked away. "I did... once. I was wrong, though... and I've never felt that way since," she whispered quietly. Until I met you... for some reason... she added in her head. Frey remembered the first time she'd been in love. It tore at a string of her heart that she'd long forgotten was there. "You just learn to live with it though, ya know?" She looked up at him, trying to force a smile. It didn't work. Even if it tears at your soul.

[.::. Nemesis .::.]

"Well... I think I might...." He lowered his voice. ....Love you." He wan't sure what she would say. He considered just walking away before she could say anything. He stood up and backed away a few paces. "I'm sorry.. Maybe... Maybe I should go." He tried to hide the sad, pained look on his face.

[Natika]

"I..." She was taken aback, and as such was also speechless. He loved her? Freya stood and walked over to him, giving him a nudge. "You can't tell me that and then just walk away. That's not fair." Smiling as soft as she could, she rubbed her neck against his, her tail wagging softly. "I think I may feel the same..."

[.::. Nemesis .::.]

Rubix looked at her. "Really?" His tail started to wag softly and he smiled, licking her cheek gently. "Well.. Will you maybe stay with me and uh.. be my mate?" He looked down at his paws again. He had a bad feeling that she might say no. He wasn't sure why, but he did.

[Natika]

"Are you sure you wanna be mates with... me?" She shuffled her paws and backed up a few paws lengths. If, for some reason, he was just joking around, she'd best be prepared for it.

[.::. Nemesis .::.]

"Yeah, I'm sure. So, will you, please?" He saw her back up a little and moved closer, rubbing his fur against hers. "I wasn't lying when I said I love you." For once in his life he was completely serious with not even a hint of joking in his voice.

[Natika]

"Of course I will," Freya said with a smile. Her body felt like leaping, and her heart was pounding, but she supressed both. Looking at Rubix, however, her ears perked forward a little more, and her eyes grew brighter.

Rubix smiled back at her and nuzzled her. He wouldn't be like his father, he kept telling himself. And he hoped it was true. Because he worried he might hurt her in some way or even kill her, just because Nemesis was his father.

[Natika]

Freya licked his cheek, being unable to think of anything to say to express her happiness. A strange feeling came over her, as if she knew she wouldn't be lonely again. Lonely in the sense that she would either be happy until she died, or she would die before she became unhappy.

Rubix wagged his tail gently. "I love you," was all he could think of to say.

[Natika]

"Well, seeing as we're technically 'one' now, I think you should tell me of your past. I'll do the same, if you want," she looked at him with pleading eyes. Since the moment she'd met him, short while ago it was, she did want to know everything about him.
